It has created a structure for women to be supported throughout her pregnancy, labor & birth, abortion, miscarriage, and postpartum journey. Benefits are different with each insurance. Since I am currently accepting Medi-Cal Partnership, below is a list of what you are entitled to through them. Perhaps it can be a template for others with other insurances or cash pay clients can follow it as well.
Your benefits grant you from the moment your doctor records your pregnancy until 1 year after your delivery:
1 Initial 90 Minute Visit
8 Prenatal or Postpartum Visits
Support During Labor and Delivery, Abortion, and Miscarriage
2 Extended Three-Hour Postpartum Visits
+ 9 Additional Postpartum Visits with Written Recommendation from Your Licensed Provider.
